Key to My Art is place that encourages creativity. We will provide you with materials & instruction
which gives you the KEY to your Art.
There is always a positive, encouraging environment for you and/or your child to work in, with no judgements or harsh criticism.
The owner, Riesa is a New York State certified Art Teacher and Art Therapist with a lifetime of experience working in the arts, specializing in work with children. Riesa has worked with children and adults at all levels. She is very patient, caring and encouraging.
This studio was created to provide the community with a place to come and use new materials, learn new techniques or practice old ones, in an environment that feels GOOD. The studio opened in 2015. Riesa went back to get a second Master's Degree in Art Therapy in 2019 and is now a practicing Art Therapist in addition to teaching.
While we provide guidance and instruction, we do not encourage "coloring in the lines", or trying to make things look "perfect"! A statement that is often heard in our classes is, "There is NO WRONG in art!"
Everyone can create art. Most amazingly those who think they cannot, often produce the most amazing things.

"I believe that EVERYONE can create, and NOBODY should feel that they aren't good enough. Art is a fun, relaxing way to express yourself. I want all our art-makers to know that we are 100% committed to making you feel comfortable, and creative!" - Riesa Fischer, Owner of Key to My Art
